Custer County Transit gets neighbors to appointments, groceries, and errands across the valley and beyond — run entirely by volunteers, for the cost of a small donation.
Custer County Transit began in 2004 as the Wet Mountain Valley Rotary Community Service — known locally as the "Rotary Van Service." Two decades later, the mission hasn't changed: affordable rides for the people of Custer County, offered by volunteers who live here too.
Custer County Transit coordinates with local partners to close gaps in transportation, healthcare access, and food security across the valley.

A volunteer driver will be arranged, and your donation covers the cost of the trip — or a sponsor will.
The donations we ask for keep Custer County Transit running, but they're not a barrier. Generous community donors sponsor riders and Food Share deliveries for anyone who can't cover the cost themselves.

As Custer County Transit expands its services, we're looking for volunteer drivers and helping hands for our community projects. If you've got a few hours and a valid license, we'd love to talk.
